Virtual Spider

There is an odd-sum combination of: fear / pet-enjoyment when feeding it / thrill of watching my cat trying to get it / satisfaction when I control it / and, still, I'm aware of my fear...mostly when it is moving...creeping.

Why is there any fear there? (I ask myself).

I'm completely aware, in every respect, it's not real. But, no matter. When it's moving across the screen towards my pointer there is a press-brush at the top of my neck whisper-suggesting to my lucid-conciousness: —hey, a spider—.

There isn't.

—hey that could be a spider—

There is no spider.

—looks like a fuckin spider—

—sure wish there was an "Alt+X = crush" option—

The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. — Mark Twain (pseudonym of Samuel Clemens)

Thanks so much for the 2012 post. It helped me think about this prediction, cleared up my mind. Thank you!
